Thank gawd for comment moderation! I've received comments a few times on these barbs I post from someone named Anonymous who's an obvious repuglicon. I am choosing not to publish them.

Bill Maher is a loud mouthed ignoramous who lambasts anyone who does not agree with his point of view so he can make his next buck with quotes like this one which less intelligent media robots adore quoting. You should know better.
And as for that woman holding cardboard, she still lives in the greatest country on Earth which gives her the privilege of looking like the same kind of idiot Bill Maher is for not understanding the very privilege she is exploiting for a media moment.
Anon - I happen to like Bill Maher and respect his viewpoint, much more than yours. As for this being the greatest country on earth: Wake Up, It's Not! It's good, but not great.
Perhaps you would prefer Cairo, Tunisia, Congo or anywhere in France, Spain, Germany or well... let's see Singapore, Tehran, the Kurdish region in Afganistan or any of the 'stans for that matter. What exactly do you think constitutes great?
There is no place on Earth with a more stable democracy than our Republic. There is no place on Earth with a better economic horizon and that includes China. There is no place else on Earth where you are less likely to take a bullet in exchange for your peaceful protest. If you know of one little corner of the paradise we like to call Earth that improves on your opportunity in America please let me know. I've not found one and I doubt you will either. Good luck trying to find one.
What exactly do you think the millions of immigrants legal and otherwise come here for. Not for the sunshine sweetheart. For the freedom and opportunity it promises in contrast to where they come from. That is why this is still the greatest country on Earth (with the possible exception of Chicago proper). If you don't think so you might just need your head examined and I don't mean the little one.
Never forget, Mr. Maher is a performer and it is his job to say startling things because that is what keeps a camera pointed in his direction and cash flowing into his pockets. You are welcome to agree with him but it does not make me think he is a bright light in the chandelier. He is certainly not. Any performer that would call any woman let alone one who has a public service record, a woman who has done nothing to harm him in any way a cunt is not a happy man or a nice man and he does not deserve any respect from me. He shouldn't get any from you.
That you support our current nightmare of a President who is swiftly sending us to the brink of democratic extinction is your right in this fine land we live in. That you fail to give any credit to his opponent who is far more skilled, far less naive and much better suited to the job for the next four years simply shows you are unable or unwilling to explore these two men as equal to the task. You dismiss the history, or lack thereof, of one and imply with no facts the reputation and policies ideas of the other is suspect. You may not agree with the finer points of Mr. Romney's credentials but to suppose he is only out to rob the poor and make more rich the rich is a clear indication that you take your pills from CBS,NBC, MSNBC and CNN along with Ms. Sawyer at ABC.
I am not the gentleman who needs to wake up. I'm wide awake and far from tone deaf. I am not delusional about who the current president is and where he would like to see America in four more years. I am very aware of his policies, prejudices and sympathies to certain corners of the world who have stated themselves to be at war with us. That my friend is happening right before your very eyes this very day and if you want to look the other way... well this is still America and you are completely entitled to do so.
A better, more free tomorrow does not get wished into existence. It takes hard work and diligence in the face of those that would want a less free and more deadly world for you to live in. Those folks are real. They are not called Republicans or Conservatives or Tea Party or as Mr. Maher would prefer Tea Baggers. They are Islamic Fundamentalist Extremists and they are represented in this country by CAIR. If you side with their perceived rights then you don't understand the country you live in. If you don't understand their position on homosexuality you might want to do a little reading. Once you do, you might have an appropriate amount of respect for those that support the idea that freedom and Islamic Extremism can coexist. That would be none. They have a foothold here. Should they ever gain the kind of power they seek here you and I will be swinging from gallows and the hemp will not be smoked, it will be scarring our necks.
I hope you read my words. I doubt you will post my words and I certainly don't expect to see them on your site. I tune in to see a cock now and again. Anon - Not only did I read your well-written diatribes, you'll notice that I published them as well. It's obvious that you have blind faith in the republiCON party. I'd rather have a Democrat in the oval office ANY day over one of them, especially this latest sad offering.
