I have a soft spot in my heart for vintage cars; old Mercury's for one (always have my eye out for the later model Comet), but I have driven my share of old Plymouth's and Dodge's. 20 years ago, I would have loved to get some old jalopy and restore it; I know that vintage of mechanics pretty good. But that was then... Just no aptitude or energy for it. The annual overhauls of the mower and snow blower are enough to quell that yearning.
Aah, the cars of the 70s. Obviously not as safe as today's cars, but infinitely more fun and stylish, not cookie-cutter shoe boxes in 4 colors like today's models. My first car was a 1973 Monte Carlo, 350 4-barrel, metallic brown with saddle landau roof. Got about 100 miles between fill-ups but you wouldn't believe how handsome and dashing that car made me appear LOL.
That GTX is stunning! Non-factory 15" Magnum 500 wheels, the "Go Wing" rear spoiler, and an unusual interior color. All make that car unique and desirable to many! I would have liked something similar back then, but I was more into Chryslers back then. Great cars! Thanks, Rick!
