Agree! THEY want us to donate from our shrinking disposable incomes as THEY want to keep all of theirs! Reform the US Tax Code to allow "donations" to be written-off as "charitable contributions", IF that is not already possible, rather than "advertising expenses".
Grocery chains asking for my money so THEY can get the tax break and credit for donations is ludicrous. Same with these organizations asking for money for law enforcement and firefighters when they take 90% (or more) off the top. No, thank you. I'll donate directly if I so choose.
Despite Trump's lunacy, USA is still the best and biggest economy in the world. It got there with capitalism. Yes there is too much wealth and too many people working for too little. Those things are policy choices that can be changed. Marxism is idealism. Almost as silly as believing in god.
