One thing I noticed decades ago is that older black citizens know when somebody is not telling things as they are. Is this in their genetics or is it that they have seen and been the persons most affected by "playing nice" with those who sought to demean them? THEY knew what they were seeing!
Ms. Crockett takes that orientation to a much higher level, breaking many glass ceilings in the process. She might be more blunt than many non-blacks are comfortable with, even some blacks too, BUT they know
