I noticed that their rooms are quite nicely well dimensioned BUT their bathrooms are so tiny... Seems that in those times, sanitation wasn't that important.
I live in a two stories home. My landlord and his family are on the first floor and I live on a large (1200 sq.feet) appartment. This house was built in 1954 and like on those plans, my barhroom is not big too. I even had to add some IKEA cabinets to put my stuff like towels, meds etc..
