Dresden structures left to right - Bruhls terrace and palace, Standehaus/ City court house, Alt schloss/ old castle and spire, Catholic Hofkirche, National Gallery and Semper opera house. Dresden is a Lutheran city, when King Augustus the Strong of Saxony became king of Poland he had to convert to Catholicism and ruled as a dual monarch. The Frauenkirche/ Church of Our Lady is the Lutheran cathedral of Dresden and the Hofkirche is the Catholic cathedral of Dresden. -Rj
