Spartan was the ne plus ultra of mobile homes from 1946 to 1954. Built to the highest standards and using the finest materiels, they cost 4,000 dollars in 1946. Spartan continued building mobile homes until 1962 when they could no longer compete with the likes of New Moon, Fleetwood, Kropf, Marlette, Schult and others. -Rj
