No. 2 is inaccurate, historically speaking. Christianity caught on very early in Africa, when it was looked down upon, and its practitioners were regularly persecuted, by the Romans. It was not forced on people, people risked a great deal when they adopted it. It was, in fact, from the Roman point of view, considered "atheism"!
Religion, religion is still a issue in USA even if your founder's father wanted to get free from the England Church ruling in the Constitution.
What I saw on the Iowa Retrumplikkan primary is a poster on the back of De Santis telling: "God before governement" which says it all about how Evangelicals have a grip on US politics.
Which is surprising to see those Evangelicals supporting a con man like tRump who is all but a saint... An adultar, multi married, pedophile, economic criminal etc,,, etc....
pathetic mythology

ReplyDelete@Anonymous, I've often wondered why American Blacks choose the religion of their enslavers.
ReplyDelete"How Africans..." says it all. The enslaved were introduced to organized religious beliefs by their "owners." Or "colonizers" if you prefer....
ReplyDeleteExpect to see a few of these reposted on Sunday! 😉
