To me, the dog in the car window reflects the joy and optimism for the future which we should all aim for. Ready to experience new things and locations. To check things out and enjoy the world, with the orientation that "It's all good", but being ready to run back to safety if needed.
The fawn and dog is priceless, too. Each cautiously checking each other out, desiring to become friends.
