At the origin of the last one is the Chinese proverb: Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
Unfortunately, given the world we live in, that last meme could be taught as a perfect example of how capitalism distorts the relationship between aspirations and the greed that it can inspire to some.
I can read "old American" on the Russian poster, but can't make out that last word-zapalnichka. This is a great posting, Rick. Thank you.
