Baden Powell's scouts didn't invent a thing, from building a table and stools with chopped wood assembled with vines to being good and helpful to others through a "daily good deed" (only one a day? seriously?). Strangely enough, as much as cruelty is dormant within the human nature, so does caring. One or another are being character traits being groomed and passed on from parents to their children. Another thing, among many, that Nature has taught us. But us humans are so prompt to forget...
Each of these is a revelation to me. Than you Professor Ricko for the continuing education of the masses.
ReplyDeleteMilleson - I actually Googled the last one to see if it were really true, and it is.
ReplyDeleteGET OUT. That last one. That is amazing. I had no idea. Too cool. Why didn't I learn THAT in school? And that first one... made me cry. Thanks, Rick.
