For dog training, no matter the size, dogs don't have any idea that they are large or small. The behavior of dogs depends on many factor and the best or worse is the master or owner not training them well.
I know it because when I had my first dog of the family, we took dog training lessons from a pro who was a trainer for dogs for blind people.
That is what he said that a good early training will make a good dog no matter the size or race.
