:) That's some strong front landing gear! I think I was on that TWA 747 that day. On a serious note, that happened once in Tenerife with two 747s. One taxiing after landing and the other on take-off. Tragic.
Yup. Fake. When the jet nosed into the ground the nose wheel gear would have collapsed and the rest would have been a burning, tumbling mess. You can see after the "nose bump" that the nose landing gear is still intact: impossible. In fact when the main gear hit so hard the first time all the tires would have blown out and quite possibly the main gear would have collapsed at that point, ending it right there.
But I'm going to have nightmares about this video, so thank you for that!
Yup, fake. It's Lufthansa Air, not Lufthansary Air. Good morning, Rick and Jerry, let's hope no one experiences a landing close to that nightmare.
ReplyDeleteMilleson - You have such a good eye for detail!
ReplyDeleteWell, thank heavens. Can you imagine surviving that?

I had a similar experience on Ozark, landing in Iowa City in 1968.
ReplyDeleteAnon@8:29pm - I hope the nightmares don't last too long!
ReplyDeleteAnon@11:18pm - Scary!!
