I remember the John Birch Society (showing my age) it was active during my adolescence. The same thinking continues. Too bad people still cannot understand the dangers in this type of thinking and those who perpetuate it. It seems easier to be lemmings and follow others' unthoughtful ideas than to think for oneself. Unfortunately, these people will also look for scapegoats: Jews, women, gays, immigrants, and any other group that they think are threats to their way of thinking or question it.

ReplyDeletePat - Absolutely!

ReplyDeleteDid not know that last bit. Wasn't aware of it at all. Scary.
ReplyDeleteNoah and Dan... speak wisdom. Thanks, Rick.
