These seem to be missing half an inch and quarter inch from the start of the tapes. You may have also seen tape measures and rulers that are gauged in 2/3 and 3/4 scale so an 8 inch object measures 12 inches, a 9 inch measures 12 inches. They are gag novelties sold to fishermen and men measuring their ENDOWMENTS when they really have endowments. You really do have to question everything!
