I remember that Diner we went to, years ago, in downtown SF. As simple as fabulous regarding the cooking. On top of it, I was never served a better true French Bourgogne wine than there (they probably did not know how valuable it was). Anyway, I'd choose a Diner over a fancy restaurant anytime. And if not for the cook, at least for the attendance.
Love these places. Most times the food is the best - better than any fancy celebrity chef places.
ReplyDeleteSt. Paul still has one of those in the heart of downtown. Cute place. Circular staircase to the bathroom in the basement. Very cool place.
ReplyDeleteThere was one in southern Iowa, right off of I35 northbound. Will need to head that way soon and take a couple of photos.
