That Thomas... such a Paine. I think priests can tell authorities if you've killed someone or actually, any felony. They try to talk you into giving yourself up, first... But if you walk away, really quickly, and have polaroids of the priest naked, like I did? Then you can get away with it...
To me it seems the third one misses the actual point of confession witch was/is not intended to only absolve parishioners, but to give the priest the opportunity to rule over the congregation by "legally" knowing and acknowledging all their shames and secrets. Religions are all about establishing and reinforcing power. And knowledge is power. Too bad they used this principle the very wrong way. All the more reasons to confess to a priest in one and only occasion: on his pillow after a fine fuck.
