On the farm we were always told to not name or form an attachment to any of the animals we raised because sooner or later we'd be having "Gobbles" or "Fluffy" or "Flossie" for dinner! Lots of hard lessons with farm life but we always had food on the table.

ReplyDeleteuptonking - We eat much less meat than we used to. Much less, but still some, once in a while.
