As the wealth of the middle class declines and the wealth of the 1% expands, millennials can't afford to buy new cars. They can't afford to buy and build new homes and they live longer with their parents. They aren't being environmentally responsible by using public transport or Uber to get around. They are just trying to make do and get by with what has been left them.
