I remember those Manhattan days in the 60's & 70's when there wouldn't be a cloud in the sky and the smog was so thick you could look directly at the sun without any discomfort at all. Like wearing a pair of heavy sun glasses. Land lord groups said burning smokeless, lighter grades of fuel would bankrupt them. Same kinds of arguments being use today. Today the air is a lot cleaner and the land lords are a lot wealthier after having been dragged, kicking and screaming, into sensibility.
do you have the cult of ignorance? In Italy we have the cult of the lack of civic sense!
